Life is precious.

So I've been busy and all that good stuff... but I wanted to inform you of my whereabouts today.

I was at a funeral for a seventeen year old girl who committed suicide last week. Let me tell you about this girl... She was a beautiful girl with a bright smile and a bright future to match. She did soo many sports since the time I've known her (which has been 4 years), and she had a promising future in track. When I say she was beautiful, I really mean it. Everyone envied her for her natural beauty... she could be in sweats and a t-shirt and still be beautiful. She was also the funny girl who always made people laugh. She was the biggest goofball and the life of the party. She was the adventurous girl who didn't care about the consequences... she just wanted to have fun. And she did. She brought fun wherever she went. She was also the clumsiest person ever, but she did track with grace. This girl really touched everyone's heart, whether they barely knew her or knew every detail about her. She touched everyone, and that was obvious at the funeral. Sooo many people showed up.

I know that suicide happens often, but it still never takes the pain away. It just had to be her. Nobody would have ever suspected her to do such a thing... but I guess it's always the people you least suspect, right?

The service was beautiful. Each of us wrote a note on a piece of paper and attached it to a balloon... then we let the balloons go... that was nice. The tributes and testimonies about her were so emotional, and so was the slideshow of pictures. I'm sure EVERYONE cried. Even the big, tough football players were crying.

But seeing the casket is the hardest part; especially since it was a closed casket. You're left to wonder.
We will all miss her.

I just wanted to let you know about this to remind you how precious life is... and especially to forgive those friends who have done you wrong, because you never know if you'll ever get the chance to forgive them later.

Sadie
